A beautiful day for Geocaching

Today was absolutely fabulous and we made the most of it. Met Scott & Sarah in Wokingham to Geocache. A new town to explore, some lovely buildings, it must of been 22C, we started off with a multi-cache, much to Sarah’s doubts……we did it……lots of numbers to collect, we stopped off for some refreshments did some simple maths and bada-bing, we have new coordinates to find the cache…… A lunch-box of treats…..filled in the log and moved on. Next cache was missing…..need to check the website to see when it was last found.

Then headed bout 5 miles out of town, we rocked up to The Castle, a lovely quaint little village pub, real old world, even managed to dine al-fresco. Lamb roast for Scott, Sarah & Honda, Pan Fried Organic Salmon for me. Fed and watered, we moved onto the next cache, simple find in a field about half a mile away, then onto the next, hidden away near a pond, desperately trying to avoid being spotted by the family watching the ducks……but success again. We said our goodbyes to Scott & Sarah and squeezed in the final cache…..simple and quick but made it 5 caches in one day.

Sarah suggested we do the Chiltern 100, yes 100 caches in 1 day, but thought we could make a weekend out of it by doing 50 one day, stay in a B&B and do 50 the following day…..be a challenge but fun…….

Paul & Karen are coming over for dinner……Salmon fishcakes and Chocolate Fondant pudding……not together !
